What Is Legg, What Is Brain?

We all want to know

This is me, I am running

It’s Spring. “The Vernal Equinox” if ya nasty. A time for rebirth. For birds chirping outside your window. Little green sprouts popping up in the giant rat’s nest of dead vegetation you never finished cleaning up in the front yard. Peeps. Peeps are coming back, my friends. You don’t want to eat them, you don’t even buy them, yet you open the cupboard and there they are, waiting for you. Begging for you to eat them, to end their misery.

Anyway, it’s Spring. Spring is good for running. I like running. I’m going to run every day this Spring, at least a 10k (6.22 miles) each day. Otherwise, the run doesn’t “count.” I haven’t decided if I’ll upload to Strava yet. Strava sucks.

Why are you doing this?

Because we have a baby now and I’ve spent a little too much time eating PB&J mini sandwiches and blueberry muffins while watching reality TV instead of getting out there and experiencing the wonderful majesty of movement in the world and eating like, I don’t know, a bowl of chickpeas with some veggies thrown in.

I also don’t write enough. Sure, sure, my future-award winning hand coded website No Happy Nonsense features weekly fiction every Saturday and some other fun weird stuff, but I should be writing e v e r y d a y.

So each day I’m going to run my little 10k and then come back home and write about the run, or write about what I thought about on the run, or write about a cool dog I saw on the run, or write about how crazy the weather has been, or write about something totally unrelated. That’s the brain part.

The legg part is the running. Legg is running.

Legg is spelled like that because it was a typo but now it’s stuck.

Running through the forest like an ugly lil wood sprite

I hope you’ll join me on this journey. Not running every day, no that’s kinda stupid. Just like, subscribe and read about me doing it.

See you tomorrow (or today or in the future, whenever you read this, you know. Asynchronicity, and all that fun stuff.)
