Real hodge podge of a day
Running Song of the Day:
This song was submitted by loyal reader and my dear, dear enemy Quark Getting Fingerblasted. Quark wanted to impress upon me (and you, by proxy) that really you should listen to the entire album, Nonagon Infinity and not just this first song. He said something about how the whole album loops on itself from start to end and it’s got themes throughout that build and call back and something something. I’m not a music person so I just said sure uh huh whatever you say.
And then I put this bad boy on when I started running today and OOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOF this album fucking RIPS. Don’t take my word for it, just put it on, hit repeat all, and get ready to fly.
Fuckin’ cold again today bullshit. Feels like 25° with 17mph winds. The winter kit rides again.
I took another detour on today’s run to go check out an elementary school in town. Not my old elementary school, just, one of them. My town has literally five public elementary schools for some reason.
There’s a nice big stair set at this school. Two of em, actually. 28, flat sprint, 26. 54 stairs. Sucks. You ever see like a Nike commercial and people are running stairs in a stadium or whatever? It sucks. Don’t let them fool you.
Anyway here’s me running the 28 set.

this sucks
The rest of the run? You already know how it went; piecing together a bunch of random streets and route segments to sneak out 6.22 miles. It was cold today but I was running harder than I should’ve because that King Wizard Lizard Gizzard whatever album was PUMPIN’ in my ears.
Another day of just barely scratching out the full 10k distance. I guess it doesn’t matter; the goal isn’t to average 10k over the cumulative miles or anything. It’s to bang out a 10k minimum every. single. day. Achievement through consistency. Pounding your bones into the pavement. Subsumed by the GPS watch attached to your wrist. Devoured by the sun. Legg and Brain.

Running Stats:
6.25 miles
in
0:57:55
so it was
6.5mph on avg
with
an imaginary amount of vert because my watch is dead
and i’ve run
28.75 miles this Spring.

phone reflection boo
Runner Paradise of the Day:

The Parramatta River
My favourite place to run near work is along the banks of this river. Parramatta Park is at one end with a 3.2km loop, then I don’t how many km you can go along the riverbank. Even in the middle of the day it’s quite peaceful, but it’s best early morning.
Thanks again, Victoria!
